- In 1910 a group of Christians established a church and met together in a rented house down De Fonseka Place, Colombo 4.
- In 1919 land was purchased and a place of worship was built down Dickman’s Road, Colombo 4 and the church established themselves there.
- The church that meets at Bethesda Gospel Hall now numbers around 100 and ranges from students and families with young children, through middle aged people to senior citizens.
- We come from varying backgrounds and walks of life but are united by our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and our desire to share God's message with the community in which we live and worship
